A+ Spelling is a free app for iPad and I think (not 100% sure) Best Spelling Test GLD is the equivalent for android. A+ Spelling was recommended to me today by a teacher. This app allows you set set up your own spelling word lists using text and audio and then you can create a few simple games.

If you don’t have an iPad or android device, don’t forget Spin and Spell. It is a free online spelling game. There is also spell check by FunBrain, skillwise by the BBC and Pirate Spelling by Bitesize.
