The free AppoLearning app is updated by a review panel consisting of 65 experts who have selected what they consider to be the best five apps across more than 170 subjects and four age groups. Each app is assigned a Report Card rating (measured between 0 and 100) and evaluated using set criteria. App scores are based on their educational content, appeal, assessment abilities, features and design,value, safety and privacy. The apps have been sorted into various categories and then further sub divisions have been created to refine searching. For example, the  productivity category is further categorised under the headings of browsers, flashcards, scheduling & organisation, study aids and note taking.
