Using mobile technologies on a shared basis? Interested in helping me with research?

For my PHD I am focusing on the shared use of mobile technologies in primary education. What does this mean? Well, mobile technologies (ie, iPad, tablets, lap tops and smart phones)  are ideal on a 1:1 basis yet many primary schools can not afford this. Therefore I would like to find out if mobile technologies on a shared basis in primary education are working effectively based on teacher’s opinions. I would […]

Well, you need to buy the kit (approximately AU$60). The […]

Tinkering resources (circuits)

Today I attended a technologies training day facilitated by Gary Stager. The focus of the day was based on ‘The Maker Movement’ and ‘tinkering’. Below is a video about an amazing 9 year old boy who build an arcade out of boxes. It is not about circuits but it is a great introduction for the idea of ‘tinkering’ (playing with things). I also discovered Sylvia’s blog and video resource website. She is […]

I have been working on my PHD so I have had little time to blog. However,  I have created a few original resources which you may find useful. The first one is a weebly website (work in progress) called . On this website I have provided a large number of resources for Y3-Y6 teachers. I am slowing working away at the Foundation to Year 2 level.         […]
