The 2013 Higher Education Horizon report is a collaborative effort between the NMC and and the EDUCAUSE designed to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have an impact on learning, teaching, and creative inquiry in higher education. The six emerging technologies identified include massively online courses, tablet computing, games and gamification, learning analytics, 3D printing and wearable technology.
