“In recognition of the widespread use of iPad in schools and general education, Apple recently released a new “Apps for Teachers” category in the App Store” (Sam Glicksman).

 

To find the category on your iPad:
1. Go to the App Store
2. Select all Categories and then select Education
3. Go to the bottom of the page and there is a  list of quick links, select Apps for Teachers.
The category has been further subdivided under the following headings; (1) Classroom Management (2) Curricula Support (3) Instructional Tools (4) Personal Organisation and (5) Reference.  There is a good selection of apps and a large portion of the apps are free, Apple must know what teachers like! Don’t forget that you can also search apps for every subject.
