Tinkering resources (circuits)

Today I attended a technologies training day facilitated by Gary Stager. The focus of the day was based on ‘The Maker Movement’ and ‘tinkering’. Below is a video about an amazing 9 year old boy who build an arcade out of boxes. It is not about circuits but it is a great introduction for the idea of ‘tinkering’ (playing with things).

I also discovered Sylvia’s blog and video resource website. She is 8 years old and likes to ‘tinker’.  Here is a link to her site. Below is an example of one of Sylvia’s video tutorials. In this tutorial she demonstrates how to make squishy circuits.

I also discovered circuit stickers which you can buy online. Circuit stickers are peel-and-stick electronics for crafting circuits. You can use them to add electronics to any sticker-friendly surface. The retail cost is about US$30 for a starter kit.  Here is a link to some examples which I found online. The only downside is once they’re stuck, they are stuck. Below is a video introduction.
